Bathrooms in 2024 are expected to incorporate more spa-inspired design with a shift towards health and wellness and products including steam showers, saunas and even cold plunges! Colours are warm and earthy, and there is an upcoming trend for more masculine tones and moody hues such as deep green and navy blue, coupled with playful patterns. Large format tiles are back; textured and 3D tiles laid in geometric patterns (think Art Deco) are going to be big, and the classic Metro tile is now being vertically stacked. Large backlit mirrors and floating vanities are here to stay, and medicine cabinets are making a comeback. Baths in wet rooms spin the traditional bathroom on its head, surface drenching (using the same tiles or materials on the floor and walls) evokes a sense of space, and lighting is going biodynamic to set the mood as natural light would. For the finer details, think brushed metal fittings, curves and fluted wood.
